What is M Wine School?

At M, we love wine but we don’t love being posh about it. Our wine school is designed to give people the knowledge they’ve always wanted, but have always been afraid to ask. We believe wine is cool and there’s a cool way of showing that, without lots of yawns and boredom.

All our courses (except WSET LVL 2) are conducted by Zack Charilaou, M’s Director of Wine and 2015 Harpers UK Sommelier of the year.

Below is the list of courses, designed to be fun, accessible, informative and most of all, easily understood and digestible.

Also, to keep you relaxed, we start all our courses with a glass of bubbles to get the juices flowing and finish off with a cocktail and some canapés. Now that’s the M way of learning!

M is for Malbec!

At M, Malbec is our absolute favourite, so to celebrate this amazing grape we have created a master class to explore all its different styles in all its glory. We will take you on a journey that spans 2500km (which is the distance from M Victoria to Sicily) and a range of altitudes starting at 250m above sea level and eventually reaching 3000m above sea level.

Malbec has so many different styles and this master class will give you the chance to experience them all, understand why they’re all so different, why the grape suits Argentina so well, how it all started and what has caused it to become the UK’s most drunk red wine.

Of course, this can only truly be understood by drinking them all whilst discussing them.

Guideline cost is £35.00pp + a discretionary 12.5% service charge based on 14 people and includes a glass of bubbles to get the juices flowing and a cocktail and some canapés to conclude the session.
